# Android Auto - also in F-Droid

Hello,
On [our new Mastodon account](https://fosstodon.org/@AntennaPod) we received this question:
> Can the F-Droid version also Android Auto or you must download the Google Play Store version? I would like to use Android Auto and therefore currently do not know if generally a version from the F-Droid can also Android Auto.

I wouldn’t know, but I suspect that to use Android Auto it’s necessary to have the Google Play Store version. Correct? (Then I can reply to this person on Mastodon 🙂 )

If you enable unknown sources in Android Auto, you can also use the F-Droid version.
