Found a workaround while writing this ticket, but maybe it still points to a bug, so I will post it:
App version: 1.8.3 installed via F-Droid
Android version: 8.0.0
Device model: Shiftphne Model Shift6m
Expected behaviour: Playing Audio without “scratches”
Current behaviour: “scratches” and small gaps in audio all the time. Doesnt matter if streamed or downloaded episode. Occurs on different podcast, but doesnt occur on other apps playing audio.
Occurs with and without energy saving mode of device.
Update while writing ticket: Problem occurs with my bluetooth headphones sony 1000xm2. Reconnectiong bluetooth solved it. The audio issues where exclusive to Antenna though. I checked NewPipeApp and a stream on Firefox, and those played audio fine.
First occurred: First installed, while moving away from google apps
Steps to reproduce:
- connect bluetooth headphones
- start Antenna
- stream or download new episode of any podcast
- Scratchy sound
