I think implementing this would encourage other publishers to use spotify, and only further aggravate the dominance of spotify in an increasing closed ecosystem.

I think we should push [All Platforms][Podcasts] Access Spotify Podcasts ... - The Spotify Community
instead. If we get enough votes it will be re-opened and can move forward.
There is no reason why they can’t do analytics and payments with rss as well and hide ad free versions behind a login and personalised feed.

Fwiw, a bunch of popular podcasts have been bought by Spotify and will disappear soon.
Spotifeed seems to be down permanently (due to Spotify changes)

Since they use Widevine DRM on the free ones on their website open.spotify.com, i think the only solution is: bring enough weight behind the topic i linked above and make them use open standards again.
