Inbox behavior not working as expected

App version: 3.7.0 (8331bc128) downloaded from Google Play store.

Android version: 15 with March security patch

Device model: Pixel 7Pro

Expected behaviour: Global default set to do nothing with new episodes. Specific podcasts set to add new episodes to inbox. Expectation is that those podcasts put their daily/weekly episodes in my inbox.

Current behaviour: generally no episodes are added to my inbox. This morning, two were added but then when I clicked to check my inbox, it refreshed and then removed those episodes.

First occurred: for a while, can’t pinpoint when exactly.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Episodes just generally don’t show up in inbox.

Environment: auto download set for the podcasts I want to be added to my inbox. Most other podcasts are not set to keep updated and auto download. Subscription section filtered by podcasts with notifications only.

That’s the way auto-download currently works (and has been working since it was introduced) - it takes an episode from the inbox, downloads it, and moves it to the queue
