I simply love this new feature! Thanks a lot for it! 
One suggestion to enhance this: could AP write the positioning info back into the local folder where the files are being read from?
If you synchronize that folder using a software like Nextcloud, that would enable another instance of AP on a different device to continue playing the local file where you stopped listening on the other device.
