(I suspect this might end up being a feature request, but I’m asking here in support first on the off-chance I’ve just missed something in the settings)

**App version** : 3.12.1 (f8c641887) installed from the Play Store

**Android version** : 16

**Device model** : Pixel 8a

**Current / Expected behaviour** : When using the buttons in the notification bubble to skip forward through an audio file, very occasionally I’ll accidentally tap a few pixels to the left of the “skip forward” button and hit the very end of the “location scroller” (not sure what the proper term is; the line that wiggles while audio is playing). This has the unpleasant effect of moving the playback position to the very end of the audio file, marking it as “played” and moving immediately to the next audio file. As the previous file is considered “completely played”, it disappears from my playlist, and requires me to fish it out of the Playback history, and find where I previously was.

I’ve looked in the settings to see if there’s a way to remove or disable the “location scroller”, but the closest I can find is “Set notification buttons” under the “User interface” section, which allows me to select any combination of “Skip episode”, “Next chapter”, “Playback speed”, and “Sleep timer”. For reference, I currently have “Skip episode” and “Playback speed” selected.

The main support-related question I have is: have I missed a setting somewhere? Is there a way to remove, or at least neuter, the “location scroller”? I have never used that UI element for its intended purpose, as on the rare occasion I need to choose the playback location (which is near-universally because I’m trying to get back to where I was before I accidentally “finished” it) I prefer to unlock the phone, open the app, and use the scroller in the full-screen player, as it is larger and provides more information.

In the event that I haven’t missed anything, and this needs to be a feature request, would it be preferred to move this topic to the “Feature Requests” category, or should I create a new topic?

**First occurred** : has been like this for as long as I can remember.

**Steps to reproduce** :

1. Play something
2. Open notifications tray
3. Be ever so slightly careless with where you tap to skip forward in an audio file

**Literature search** :

- [Can the seek bar be hidden from the notification player? (Android 13)](https://forum.antennapod.org/t/can-the-seek-bar-be-hidden-from-the-notification-player-android-13/2373) (no response, auto-closed)
- [Add ability to disable lockscreen/notification seek and skip functionality](https://forum.antennapod.org/t/add-ability-to-disable-lockscreen-notification-seek-and-skip-functionality/3027) (mentions removing the “skip episode” button too, which I don’t want; maintainer response suggests that perhaps the answer to my question is “doesn’t exist and won’t happen”, which would make for a sad womble)
