Suggested feature: Controlling playback with voice commands
Suggested solution: Add an option to control AntennaPod using spoken commands. Even a few simple commands such as “play”, “pause”, “forward” would already enable basic interaction with the app while cooking, driving etc.
Screenshots / Drawings / Technical details: Since 2020, Google Assistant has allowed for choosing which podcast provider service should be activated with voice commands such as “OK Google, play my podcast”. At the time of writing, the only supported services are apparently Google Podcasts and Spotify. I couldn’t find any documentation on how the list of podcast providers can be extended.
It seems that another option for enabling voice control is using App Actions.
