Problem you may be having, or feature you want:
When adding a podcast to the queue, it would be extremely useful to have another option in the context menu, along with the “Add to queue” option: “Add to the beginning of the queue”.
The thing is that sometimes when adding podcasts to a long queue, there is a need to add to the beginning of listening some very interesting podcast or several podcasts that you would like to listen to first. Without the “Add to the beginning of the queue” option, you have to additionally search through the already formed queue to find those particularly interesting podcasts and move them to the beginning of the queue through the context menu. This is inconvenient, wastes time and sometimes leads to errors when you move the wrong one
Suggested solution:
Add the item to the podcast context menu: “Add to the top of the queue”.
You may wish to change the “Enqueue location” configuration option from placing new episodes at the Back (the bottom/end) of the queue to placing them at the Front (the top/beginning).
You could also consider a workflow change that someone else clued me into: Instead of playing from the top of a long queue, play from the bottom. I.E.: With the default action of new episodes being added to the bottom of the queue, you could select, for example, to start playing the fourth episode from the bottom. That way the bottom four would play, and any new downloads would play after them. This way you don’t need to look at the top of a long queue very often if you don’t want to.
Thank you for your reply. I have seen the settings “add to the beginning of the queue”, “add to the end of the queue”, “add after the current one”, etc. I am happy with the concept of adding episodes to the end of the queue. But sometimes, when manually adding episodes to the queue, you come across such an interesting episode that you want to listen to it right away - that is, place it at the very beginning. And sometimes there are several such episodes. At present, I add them as usual, to the end of the queue, and then go to the generated list and look for those very interesting episodes. It is a bit tiring, especially when there are 3-4-5 dozen episodes in the queue.
Add the item to the podcast context menu: “Add to the top of the queue” — Of course I mean:
