Hi
App version: 3.11.0f (F-Droid/)
Android version: 8.1.0 (ShiftOS, for now no newer OS available)
Device model: shift 5me
Expected behaviour: downloaded files are recognised
Current behaviour: downloaded files are ignored, instead identical new files get downloaded, “-1” added to filename
First occurred: two weeks ago
Steps to reproduce:
- SD-Card had some error, Android did not recognize it anymore. (SD-Card ist new, 2 month old)
- Linux Laptop could read it, no problems found, different fsck attempts did not solve it
- saved all the data (400GB of podcasts) and re-formated the SD-Card in Android
- copied all the data back to the SD-Card on Linux
- changed the default folder for Antennapod back to SD-Card (seems was automatically changed)
- Antennapod now still showing all the Episodes are downloaded, but when playbutton is pressed can not find the episodes and attempts to download again, adds “-1” to the file since it is already there.
Environment: Google-Free OS, other then that it is pretty much a podcasting first device. Not used as phone, for messaging etc., just music and podcasts.
Of course I could just re-download everything - a bit annoying but no big drama - but I worry how long it may last this time. If any error on the SD-Card occurs and everytime I have no choice then to re-download all the files that is unpractical.
I found this post that seemed to have sort of the same issue:
Already downloaded episodes not recognized
Is there any way to solve this without each time having to click hundreds of times the download button? I’m using the device to travel and need the downloads locally…
Alternatively: is there any way to add a function where Antennapod would check the filename and see, that an episode is already there?
Sidenode: in old versions of Antennapod used to be a button to download all episodes of a podcast, that is unfortunately gone… why?
