AntennaPod gets stuck in the RAZR External screen, even when not playing.

On the Motorola RAZR, AntennaPod’s media session gets permanently cached in the lower-left corner media chip of the external cover screen. Even after closing the app, changing playback persistence settings, and playing media from another app (Musicolet), AntennaPod aggressively retains focus on the outer display lock screen, freezing out other media players." Uninstalling the app returns the external display to normal, but re-installing (to say, check the version) immediately takes over the external screen - showing the last podcast I played, though the app doesn’t have any podcasts in it; obviously interacting with some cache somewhere.

App version: Latest Available in the store: 3.11.4

Android version: 16, no custom rom - RAZR

Device model: RAZR Ultra 2026

Expected behaviour: That whatever media player will be on the external screen, and that when I shut down AntennaPod, it doesn’t relaunch on the external screen unless I relaunch it.

Current behaviour: AntennaPod takes over the external screen, making adjusting Musicolet (music player) a “several-button-press” operation to get AntennaPod out of the way.

First occurred: (e.g. about x days/weeks ago) I played podcasts to-day, and this is when it started.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start the app.
  2. Play a few podcasts (I recommend Eu É Que Sei, or Três da Manha)
  3. Want to listen to music.
  4. Start Musicolet, play a song, shut the phone.
  5. Become a bit frustrated that AntennaPod won’t let the external screen go until it’s uninstalled.

Environment: Bluetooth headphones.
