Expected behaviour: AntennaPod should work seamlessly in Android Auto without needing to touch the phone or unlock it, just as any other Android Auto enabled app.
Current behaviour: Sometimes when I open AntennaPod in Android Auto car display with the phone locked, it hangs refreshing podcasts list, episodes list or any of the lists untill I take the phone and unlock it. It is the action of unlocking the phone (f.i: with the fingerprint) that releases the lock and causes the app to refresh the list on the screen.
First occurred: not sure, maybe I noticed it for the first time 3 or 4 weeks ago. It happens sometimes, not allways.
I tried several weeks and I think I came to the following conclusion:
It is not that I have to unlock the phone to avoid Android Auto with AntennaPod to hang doing a query forever. I have realized that it releases the lock as soon as I connect the phone to the power source OR I unlock the phone. That’s why it is not reproducible over Android Auto with cable (as the phone is powered).
It is not reproduced in other applications such as Spotify or TunneIn… only AntennaPod over Android Auto Wireless.
Could it be that AntennaPod is needint the phone to be awake for some operations such as queriying its internal database for something?
