App never stops updating feeds

Hi, just opening this thread to tell you that I had the same issue as mentioned here: Refresh continuously - #2 by Nilex

What happened: at some point, the app began fetching all RSS feeds when it is opened, even though my setting is to never auto-refresh. This was just after updating the app.

I tried clearing the app cache, force stopping it, doing both, rebooting the phone, etc. But the app still did the same thing every time I started it.

As mentioned in the topic, I could finally get rid of this by opening the app with data+wifi enabled, then when it is updating feeds, I disable both wifi and data. After a while, the update fails, and if I force stop + open the app again with network access, it no longer tries to update the feeds.

So this bug is still here in the last version of AntennaPod. But I’m not sure what triggers it, probably a rare case of some corruption of something in the database when doing an update, but this pure speculation.

Sorry but I don’t have any log to share, and I cannot reproduce the issue currently.

But hopefully this report will help the next person happening to encounter this issue

Are you saying AntennaPod does one initial refresh when you start it or that it refreshes periodically while it’s running?

Which version did you update to?

It will never stop refreshing. When starting the app, it will start refreshing all feeds. When it is finished refreshing, it starts again and will continue doing it as long as the app is not force-closed.

Version: it was last week, so 3.6.0f from F-Droid.
