Problem you may be having, or feature you want:
I have a lot of Podcasts only coming out once a Month or once a Week
I also have News Podcasts which come out like every Hour
I want to have the newest News Episode downloaded automatically (but don’t need all 12 News Episodes of a Day, from all 7 Days of the Week, just the most recent ones)
I also want the latest Episodes of my long form Podcasts coming out once a week or once a month downloaded automatically.
I need an auto Download limit, so my Storage isnt filled up in no time
Problem: Te sheer Amount of News Episodes fill up my Download limit, so the long form Podcasts won’t get automatically downloaded.
Suggested solution:
Have a Download limit per Series, so i can decide that i only want ONE (preferably customizable to the most recent) News Episode automatically downloaded (while the older ones are automatically deleted), and the latest say 5 Episodes of of long form Podcasts.
An alternative to achive this would be to have an per Series “Auto-delete Episode older than XY hours”
I recently switched from Podverse, because AntennaPod doesnt need Dynamic Code Loading - so is more secure - and love the App for a lot of the cool features: Directly searching and adding Podcasts from within the App, importing Exporting works like a charm, having the Shownotes available is really nice to have, the only thing im missing is this feature to only have a set amount of Episodes automatically downloaded per individual Series, deleting the oldest one when a new one is added and automatically downloaded without influencing your other Podcasts so I always have the newest News episodes downloaded but don’t have to choose between having my device flooded with News Episodes or not having my other Podcasts automatically downloaded because the limit is filled up by News.
I hope this is the right way to post this, I didnt find a simmilar Topic, so I created one - please forgive me if I did something wrong, I am new to this Forum.
Also: I don’t know if this is encouraged here, but I would set a Bounty of like 20-30€ if this Feature is implemented, because its the only one missing to make it a perfect App for me.
