Hello, I’m new to AntennaPod, coming from Pocket Casts and have recently set up all my podcasts and reviewed/configured all the settings. I’m trying to get all my podcasts to download automatically. I’ve gone into the download section of the global settings and have everything enabled and have the maximum episode limit set to 50, which is more than enough for the podcast that I subscribe to. I also checked the individual settings for each podcast and I have it set to automatically download based on the global setting which is “enabled” (see screenshots). What I am finding is that podcasts are not being automatically downloaded, but as new ones come in they are just being automatically added to the inbox, and then I have to go into the inbox and manually hit the download button next to every show in the list. What I would like to happen is just have them all auto-download so when I go into that show in the subscriptions section I can just listen to the latest version that has been already downloaded. But in my experience thus far, while the latest episode does show up in the show section, it’s not downloaded. I still have to manually kick off each download. Am I missing a setting somewhere? I’m going to guess that AntennaPod stopped downloading at 50 episodes as instructed, and will download another one every time you delete one. If you would like more downloaded you’ll need to increase that number or get busy listening to (and deleting) episodes.
Ok I’ll try changing that episode limit to “unlimited” and see if that helps
If you reached your limit check download screen. You will see what’s downloaded even if It’s not in queue.
I changed the limit to Unlimited and that seems to be working. I think I may have misunderstood the meaning of the downloads limit….I thought it was the limit for any individual podcast but it seems to be meaning all podcasts so when I had the limit at 25 nothing was downloading cuz there’s way more than 25 total episodes across all my shows. But no single show has anywhere near 25 episodes….that’s what I was hoping it would do because that’s how pocket casts works….I can control the quantity of max downloads of each show
