Expected behaviour: New episodes are automatically downloaded and added to my queue
Current behaviour: My queue is currently empty. I checked the global and individual settings for this activity, and all indications are that new episodes should be downloaded and queued for playback. I asked CoPilot for help, and it mirrored the same steps I was performing.
I have just two subscriptions (NBC Dateline and 48 Hours) currently. New episodes released a few times a week.
First occurred: I would guess maybe 2-3 months ago
Steps to reproduce:
Enable settings in global settings area
Add new subscription.
check subscriptions settings for desired activity
Wait for new episodes to verify changes
Environment: I use a pair of Bose open-ear bluetooth headphones or my car’s bluetooth connection when listening, but only after new episodes are acquired do I make those connections. Active query for new episodes is done on either home wifi or verizon cell connection.
The queue being empty does not matter. What matters is the number of episodes being downloaded, whether they are in the queue or not. Look at the downloads screen.
In previous posts about this I read, they indicated that the queue volume matters, as there is a limit on the downloads you can set (5, 10,25…unlimited)..once reached the episode is not downloaded automatically.
My global setting is at 25, and my subscriptions use the global default.
Since I’m empty, shouldn’t any new episode download automatically?
My download screen only ever shows 1-2 ready to download when I check every few days.
This just started happening a few months ago. Previously all my episodes would be in the queue automatically.
Manually selecting them from the Inbox to download is not a big deal, but all the settings seem to suggest you can bypass this if you choose to.
