Automatic volume cut

First of all, thank you very much for this app that I like. It has many good features.

App version: x.y.z (state whether from Google Play/F-Droid/Custom built APK)

F-Droid
Problem you may be having, or feature you want:
I often listen to my podcasts on AntennaPod, with my phone connected to a speaker via a cable because I don’t want to use the bluetooth. I guess that, because of the cable, AntennaPod “interprets” that I’m listening with earbuds. Suddenly, while I’m cooking or doing any other housework with my hands busy, the app completely cuts off the sound I’m listening to (supposedly to protect my hearing health). This is very very annoying.

Suggested solution:

An option that allows to choose if we want this hear protection or not.

I think this is hard-baked into Android and cannot be disabled (other than by rooting the phone). Curious as to why you do not want to use Bluetooth?

I’m with e/OS (murena). Strange because it only happens with AntennaPod app. I have to admit I don’t use other audio apps so much though, so I can’t be sure.

It’s said that Bluetooth produces radiations that aren’t safe.
Among the different types of wireless networks, it seems that the 5G is the worst, then the Bluetooth, then the WiFi, then the 4G, then the 2G and finally the 3G.
I always have my phone on 3G.

“It’s said that” is merely hearsay and can therefore be given no credence. What is your evidence for the statement that Bluetooth radio transmission from your phone is not safe please?

Mobile phones are typically Class 2 Bluetooth devices, which means they have a maximum transmit power of 2.5 mW (i.e 0.0025 W). The actual transmission power will be considerably lower than this already low maximum if the distance between phone and receiver (i.e. your speaker) is less than the maximum usable distance (approx 10 metres).

I’ve listened to several french conferences about this topic, especially from professionals who worked in telephone companies and who created an association to alert and prevent. They say that, when writing the laws, the governments decide the thresholds under the influence of the big companies, and not guided by a care for people health.
I join a link for sources.

I’m not saying I’m right and you’re wrong, I’m sharing my point of view in a friendly chat.
