Automatically play videos in portrait

Feature request
1

App version: x.y.z (state whether from Google Play/F-Droid/Custom built APK)

Problem you may be having, or feature you want:

The videos automatically play in landscape which is very inconvenient when driving or just in general, the settings to control playback speed are different for videos as well. The only way to play videos in portrait is in split screen which makes them smaller
Suggested solution:
Add a way to automatically play videos in portrait

I would like to renew this request. Not only inconvenient, but I’ve accidentally slid the search bar while trying to exit the video (swiping up on a phone that has a video playing sideways on it).

Please tell me you are not watching videos while driving? :open_mouth:

That is jail-time if caught doing that!
