Buzzing noise

Expected behaviour: podcast arrives at end when playing speed x2

Current behaviour: when playing speed x2, the podcast will arrive at end and instead of shutdown and indicating that it finishes, it does a buzzing which will only stop if I press the fast forward button

First occurred: since i use the app several weeks ago

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Play a podcast speed 2
  2. Let it finish

I’ve experienced the same problem from time to time with no evident pattern.

For me it’s 100%…Still don’t know how to fix…

Same! Ended up just going back to Podcast Republic :face_with_peeking_eye:

This has actually been reported several times, both relative to the “missing end” and the buzzing noise. The missing ending seems to be related to ad-insertion and could also be related to increasing the playing speed and/or clicking Skip Silence.

The buzzing noise seems to be usually (or always?) related to use of increasing the playing speed and/or clicking Skip Silence. I haven’t had the issue for quite some time since I haven’t used Skip Silence or increased playback speed recently. Earlier today I did experience the buzz:

  1. Enabled Skip Silence on one podcast
  2. Later switched to another podcast (without having finished the first)
  3. Later disabled Skip Silence and immediately got the buzzing noise
  4. Pressed the pause button and buzzing stopped, pressed the start button and the buzzing resumed
  5. Started another podcast and it started playing normally with no buzz
