Can't download episodes

App version: 2.1.3 (from Google Play)

Android version: 11

Device model: Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G

Expected behaviour:
Downloading should work

Current behaviour:
Episodes doesn’t download

First occurred: (e.g. about x days/weeks ago)
today

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Add one of feeds from https://podsync.k.marx.katowice.pl/
  2. Synchronize (XML gets downloaded ok)
  3. Try download episode. It fails with message like:
failed to connect to podsync.k.marx.katowice.pl/64:ff9b::59e5:7fa1 (port 80) from /2a00:f41:2875:370a:0:4d:e7a4:6101 (port 46734) after 10000ms

Adres pliku:
http://podsync.k.marx.katowice.pl/EP/X_XnmGuKFLo.mp3

Environment: it looks like network problem, because of IPV6 data in log. But it’s weird because XML gets downloaded everytime. Downloading mp3 directly (for example in Chrome) also works ok.

Do you have any VPN, Firewall or another potential blocker active on your phone?

No, I don’t have any blockers I’m aware of, but it’s corporate phone, so something could be installed without my attention.
I see that

64:ff9b is a IPv4 address inside IPv6. But why AntennaPod tries to use IPv6? Is it because of DNS?

I just added the feed and also can’t download the latest episode. I have this error:

failed to connect to podsync.k.marx.katowice.pl/89.229.127.161 (port 80) from /10.164.226.144 (port 47960) after 10000ms

Makes me think the issue is with the server. I assume it’s your server? (If so; I’d assume you have a firewall on that end; maybe it’s something in your webserver configuration. I don’t know what kind of request AntennaPod sends, I guess just a normal http request.)

You’ve helped me trace the issue - it’s https, not http. Thank you!
