This issue of the private feed not adding, and podcasts not being able to stream/download due to an SSL error has been resolved in 2.0 RC6
Interesting. The changes related to SSL handling are not included yet. RC6 contains a change to no longer cache feeds. Maybe that somehow fixed it in your case.
This is interesting to read. As a couple of feeds that I have were not updating, even though I knew there were new episodes. Once RC6 came through, that was no longer a problem and they began updating again.
I wonder if that was the change that fixed it?
