App version: 3.8.0f (F-Droid)
Problem you may be having, or feature you want:
When playing a podcast queue, it happens that some podcasts are unavailable for some reason, for example, it was deleted by the author, and the application simply stops playing the entire queue. You have to pick up your phone, press OK on the window that appears with a message about the unavailability of the podcast, and then start the next podcast in the queue.
Suggested solution:
The app should skip (delete and queue) podcasts with errors and continue playing the queue.
Message for developers:
You have created one of the best applications for Android. It is a well-designed, effective and convenient application that makes people’s lives more enjoyable and meaningful. Keep up the good work!
Hey @User097,
Thanks for bringing this up. I’ve run into the same issue a few times, and it can interrupt the listening flow. I agree that having the app automatically skip over unavailable episodes (maybe with a quick notification or log entry) would be a much smoother experience than stopping playback entirely.
It would be great if there were a toggle in the settings to auto-skip errors like this, in case some users still prefer to see the message. Hope the devs consider it for a future update.

This is a much-needed feature! It can be really frustrating when the entire playback queue stops just because one podcast has an issue—especially during commutes or workouts where I don’t want to keep checking my phone. Automatically skipping to the next playable episode would make the listening experience much smoother. Maybe a small notification or log entry could note which episode failed, so users can revisit it later if needed. Definitely hope this gets implemented soon!

Hi Jonathan! Hi djpintunayak584!
Thank you for supporting my observations and thoughts. I haven’t thought about logging. I think it’s enough to add two check boxes to the settings: “Remove unavailable episode from queue”; “Move unavailable episode to the end of queue”.
