I’m listening to episodes from a number of large podcasts (The Listening Service, A brush with, History of English, 7 Deadly Sins)
I have been able to play episodes of each podcast, independently of the other podcasts, with little problem. Your documentation says, however, ““Mulitple queues are currently not supported.” Q1: What does that mean and how does it relate to my experience?
Per your documentation:
Automatic deletion: Delete after playing and keep favorite episodes are activated. However no episodes have ever disappeared from the queue list.
Auto delete from local folders: I don’t know exactly where downloads are stored, so I have no idea if they relate to what you call ‘local folders’. But what scares me is that you say if this is enabled these deleted episodes “cannot be downloaded again through AntennaPod.” Q2: What does this mean? How is ‘Auto delete from local folders’ different from ‘Auto Deletion’>
Q3 How do I get Automatic deletion to work?
In general:
-
I would like to display, sort episodes in a particular podcast sequentially. For example I would like to display The Listening Service episode Queue, in order by date.
-
Then I would like to play (stream if available; download if necessary) the episodes in this podcast in chronological order - oldest first.
-
When an episode is completely played, I would like that podcast to delete the episode (from the disk if it was downloaded), remove it from the queue, and play the next episode, etc.
This will result in a podcast-specific queue that is ordered by date, playable in chronological order, that deletes each episode as it completes its play and results in a queue that gets shorter with each.
I should be able to view and play each of my podcasts, separately, in this way.
Is this something AntennaPod can do?
Sorry, I am an inveterate manual reader, ask AI, and always search forums before posting. But AI has such different descriptions about how to use AntennaPod and older forum posts are all probably out of date as soon as they are posted that I can’t trust replies older than a few months old.
Thanks for your help
