Version not found there, it’s in About. Version 2.13, from Google Play.

Device model: Google Pixel 3a
Expected behaviour: Move “slider” play position indicator back or forward to different position in podcast.
Current behaviour: when doing this in the right half of the screen, it often deletes the downloaded podcast, leaving Stream or Download as options.
First occurred: Months ago.
Steps to reproduce:
- Start player
- Maximize it
- Play to slider position in second half.
- Attempt to move slider back/forward.
Environment: (Settings you have changed (e.g. Auto Download). “Unusual” devices you use (e.g. Bluetooth headphones). Did you select another media player?)
Default player, nothing attached to phone.
