Enhancements to Audio Boost / Voice Boost

I noticed that AntennaPod currently doesn’t have a Voice or Audio Boost feature.

I was wondering if you’ve ever considered potentially adding one — similar to features found in apps like Overcast.

___

Some potential enhancements could include:

1. Volume / Audio Boost: Increase the overall loudness of voices for quieter podcasts or recordings without users needing to constantly adjust their device volume.

2. Loudness Normalization: Automatically balance soft and loud segments to create a consistent listening experience.

3. Dynamic Compression / EQ: Apply mild compression or equalization to make voices clearer while preserving natural sound.

4. Adaptive Boosting: Adjust boost dynamically based on the audio content, so pauses and background sounds aren’t overly amplified.

___

Adding even some of these options would make listening to podcasts in varied environments much easier, especially for users dealing with quiet recordings or background noise.

Where did you look when checking whether AntennaPod has a volume boost setting?

I could be wrong, but I think that it was possibly from an article that I read.

Actually, nevermind, it was from this:

AntennaPod does have an audio boost feature. I was just wondering where in the app you searched for it before posting and if we should consider moving the setting somewhere else.

I tried looking for it by playing an episode, and then clicking on the button on the far bottom right labeled more, with the three dots, but I was unable to find the Audio effects & equalizer option option that the FAQ’s was talking about
