Are the episode pictures I’ve circled in the image new from the most recent update? I don’t think they were there before. Can I disable them? It takes up space and feels redundant.
I know some episodes change the card for each one; however I would like the option to disable it. Thank you.
The default is to “Use episode cover,” which displays the episode-specific cover thumbnail. I have disabled that, since I prefer to see the podcast cover image for easy identification.
In latest version episode covers are always used for episodes list when viewing a specific podcast / subscription. The setting to not use episodes cover in list only apply to screens with episodes from multiple subscriptions.
What does this mean? “Episodes from multiple subscriptions”?
I unchecked “Use episode cover” in settings under “User Interface”, but these covers next to the episode name are still there.
So there is no option to remove them? (I understand there can’t be options for every single thing in the app)
Why were these covers added?
It means the settings apply to queue list, inbox list, downloads list, history logs and maybe other I forgot. In those screens you see episodes from multiple podcasts and it’s where the settings to use podcast cover instead of episodes one is used.
For podcast screen as you know the episodes you are looking at the settings is not applied starting last version.
Like you I prefer to not use episodes covers but for this screen I don’t really care and have no opinion either way.
I thought “use episode cover” referred to something else
When I click on a podcast, I don’t want any of the episode covers to show next to the episode title (what I circled in the image). I just want the episode titles on the podcast page.
Just the episode name/title. But it looks like this is
a permanant change. Thank you.
