Exact motivation for "shownotes" string

Hello,

Can somebody please clarify the intent behind the “shownotes” string and how it is supposed to be translated. I’m not used to seeing it in English as a word. I’m seeing a lot of podcast specific results when I search for it online. Is show to be translated as a noun or a verb?

Shownotes are the descriptions of podcast episodes. In German, it’s usually used without translation. Maybe some other languages might just use “description”

To state the (probably) obvious: as implied in @ByteHamster’s reply, it’s a noun. ‘Show’ in this context similar to (a) ‘radio show’.
