We have decided that we can reimburse active developers for their AI subscriptions: Proposal to change expenses policy: AI subscriptions
I hereby propose that I receive a 3-month Claude Code subscription, starting from May 18. Last month, I started paying the subscription (from my own pocket) and it accelerated AntennaPod development significantly. The subscription costs 21.42€ each month, so in total we are talking about 64.26€.
I will consider this approved if nobody opposes within 1 week, so until May 8.
+1 to the proposal to reimburse @ByteHamster
After 3 months, the subscription has proven to be immensely helpful. It helped a lot with bug fixing for the new media 3 playback service, especially the tricky bugs around chromecast integration. I estimate it was a >50% productivity boost, so without it, most playback related bugs that beta testers run into would only be fixed in >3 months from now (that is, if I would be motivated to dig into them in the first place).
So I’m proposing to sponsor another 3 months of Claude code subscription
I will consider this approved if nobody opposes within 2 weeks, so until August 3.
After seeing this I decided to make a small donation - money well spent!
Based on the cost in relation to the balance I see on the Open Collective site made up of donations from more generous people than I, why not get an annual subscription?
I don’t want to make an exception for myself. Every regular contributor should be handled the same.
