Find episode being read in the queue

App version: 3.0.2 (F-Droid)

Problem you may be having, or feature you want:
When having multiple episodes in the queue, sometime, it is difficult to find the one I am listening.
I need to go thru the list and find the one with pause icon (even more difficult if nothing being read at the time)

Suggested solution:
Option to highlight the episode being read

Screenshots / Drawings / Technical details:

  • highlight ongoing episode in the queue
  • option in … menu to position on the ongoing episode or the one selected if none is read

I can relate to this problem, distinguishing the currently playing podcast is quite hard. I need this because I usually resort the next episodes to play based on it so I would love for a solution to be implemented

Yeah, I would love this feature. I have a large queue and alternate between randomizing episodes and using smart sort new to old, I’m constantly searching for the episode I’m listening to and periodically pushing it to the top.

You have my vote on this feature request.

Honestly what we really need is a “Play Next” button next to the Add To Queue one

Unearthing this request.

Is there any news?

It is still impossible to find the playing episode in the playing queue.

I’m using antennapod more than daily. Hourly! And this is THE basic feature I miss every day/hour.

Today, we are not deaf, but we are blind. Aren’t we?

We miss this option the 3 dots menu in the Playing queue screen : “scroll to playing episode”.

With hundreds of queued episodes, it is quite hard or even impossible to reorganize the playing queue without this feature.

And it would solve other requests (like allowing to easily download the playing episode, as there is no way to reach the standard episode details screen of the currently playing episode).

Thanks.
