How does auto-delete work?

App version: 3.0.2 F-Droid

Android version: GrapheneOS

Device model: Pixel 4a

Expected behaviour:

Delete unlistened to and unfinished podcasts automatically. My old podcast app had a feature where it would delete episodes that were X days old. I know Antenna Pod doesn’t have this feature, but I’d like something to delete unlistened and/or unfinished podcasts from clogging up my phone. Every few months I just manually delete all the old podcasts, and change the auto delete/download settings in hopes that it will do something but it never seems to.

Current behaviour:

Podcasts don’t seem to ever auto-delete, unless I listen to them to the end. This means I have 50gb of podcasts on my phone. In looking for a solution I found the feature that marks podcasts as done when they are close to the end so I appreciate that, but that doesn’t resolve my primary issue (though it does help!)

First occurred: (e.g. about x days/weeks ago)

Since I started using AntennaPod 1 year ago.

Environment: (Settings you have changed (e.g. Auto Download). “Unusual” devices you use (e.g. Bluetooth headphones). Did you select another media player?)

Storage
Auto Delete: Enabled
Keep Favorite Episodes: Enabled
Delete removes from Queue: Disabled

Queue
Enqueue Downloaded: Enabled

Automatic Download

Automatic Download: Enabled
Episode Cache: 100
Episode Cleanup: When not favorited

Note that I almost never favorite any podcast.

Thanks so much for your help.

I want to add, it would not be bad to delete podcasts a day after listening, as is done in pocket casts, sometimes I turn on podcasts before going to bed (maybe no one does), and in the morning he will delete them and you have to either download again or just delete the listened ones yourself podcasts.
