Is there any way to turn off the podcast recommendations that keep showing up in my inbox? I really don’t need them and it is rather annoying to have to constantly delete them from my inbox.
I looked through the settings but couldn’t find the way to get it done. Any help provided would be appreciated.
The episodes in the inbox are not recommendations, they are new episodes of the podcasts you are subscribed to. If you don’t like them, consider unsubscribing from these podcasts. Or do you actually mean the recommendations on the “add podcast” screen?
These all showed up in my inbox. Looks like a recommendation to me.
Looks like cross-podcast marketing efforts. Meaning, some podcast networks put episodes in their other subscription feeds when the podcasts are similar.
For those that you don’t recognize in your inbox, tap the entry, and you’ll see the episode details. The podcast name that has this entry is at the top.
Yeah, exactly. This is some podcast publishing episodes that they want to promote. As @andbenn said, you can find out which podcast is doing this by clicking the items. Then you can either contact the creator of that podcast and tell them to stop or unsubscribe from the podcast
TBH I would rather this than those in-episode promotions of other podcasts they think I may be interest in (but never am).
Absolutely. I receive those too, usually from podcasts that are taking a break or no longer publishing their own episodes.
