Looking forward to become a dedicated translator/reviewer for pt-BR

Hello, everyone!

I recently joined and noticed several strings awaiting review, some poorly localized/translated terms in the app, and the absence of a Portuguese (Brazilian) translation for the website. I’d like to contribute further and connect with current translators/reviewers, if possible.

I’ve already made a few contributions on Weblate under the same username, but I’d like to take on a larger role. I’m eager to translate the entire website and other any components available, aware of the time and dedication required. Are there any pt-BR reviewers I could partner with?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Hi,
Thanks for reaching out.

When it comes to other translators in Brazilian Portuguese, I don’t know if there are any, we were hoping to invite people to introduce themselves on the forum for that reason, but that is a work in progress.

I would suggest you to first translate the website, to then start to review the strings, as they don’t need to be reviewed to appear on the app/website. You should also be able to change the poorly translated string without any additional suggestion, just an user account over on weblate

So please let us know if you need any component to be opened in your language, if it isn’t available, and when you’re finished, so we can make you a reviewer.

Hey, @delthia !

Lately, I’ve been making good progress on the App translation, but as for the website, there are no components available for Portuguese (Brazilian). Is it necessary to request their addition in a fresh new post and should I mention anyone in specific? Thanks!

Yeah, those need to be added by someone that has the right permissions, and that would be @keunes or @ByteHamster

Looking on weblate, the component Website for Portuguese (Brazilian) appears, but it is empty. I can’t remember if that is how it usually appears, but hopefully all it needs is for the component to be added.
