Expected behaviour: I have some short daily podcasts I auto-download and listen to, but also have some longer podcasts (both old and new episodes) I hope to eventually catch up on. Right now all are in my queue. Is there a way to move one of these types of podcasts to Inbox? I cannot find a way to move an existing podcast episode to the Inbox?
Current behaviour: Everything goes to Queue and I cannot figure out how to get old podcasts to Inbox.
First occurred: Ongoing since I started with my current phone
Steps to reproduce:
- Add Podcast
- It auto-downloads to Queue (unless I tell it not to)
- No way to get it to Inbox
Environment: Mostly default I believe except I have turned off Auto-download on some podcasts.
That sure sounds frustrating, especially with all of the short daily ones. It sounds like the New episodes action is set for Add to queue. The first thing you’ll want to do is change that to Add to inbox. I don’t know how you would move things from Queue to Inbox, but of course the first step in cleaning things up would be to delete episodes you don’t plan to listen to.

Thanks, I changed the settings around a bit and will see how it goes tomorrow and beyond. I appreciate the help.
Queue to Inbox - I don’t think there’s a flow back to that.
You can Remove from queue with a long tap on a queue item.
To review downloads but not yet played:
- view the subscription, filter on Not Played, Downloaded
- Episode view, filter on Not Played, Downloaded
I also have a subscription group and add podcasts to it where I’m working through the backlog. This group lets me see all that I’m working through. It’s set up manually by editing tags on subscriptions.
