New episode notifications not working

Nothing phone 1

Expected behaviour:
Any new episodes for subbed pod Asta should send a notification to my phone

Current behaviour:
New episode notifications are not popping up. There is one exception where I get notifications for one podcast but there settings appear to be the same for 25+ other podcasts where I do not get a notification.

First occurred: (e.g. about x days/weeks ago)
Unsure as only recently moved back to antennapod

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Sub to new podcast
  2. Enable episode notifications under cog in individual podcast

Environment: (Settings you have changed (e.g. Auto Download). “Unusual” devices you use (e.g. Bluetooth headphones). Did you select another media player?)
Nothing has changed

Just to clarify; With notifications, you of course mean those messages that one can see if pulling down from the top of the screen? This question probably says more about me being surprised this feature existed at all. You learn something new every day!

Does AntennaPod learn about new episodes and show their existence in other ways? I.e. it for sure the notifications that are missing, not a problem with updating/refreshing the feed?

In settings for a subscription / podcast there is a settings to be notified when new episodes are available for current subscription. (And it’s working fine on my phone)
