New User Workflow Question

I am trying to figure out how I want to set things up.

  1. I subscribe to a podcast
  2. I see old episodes in the subscription tab and the episode tab.
  3. If I set autodownload, it will download and put them in the queue
  4. In episode I can download manually, and it will move them to the queue

Does this make sense for a casual user, and why don’t I see things in the inbox? It seems like Inbox and Episodes are the same thing.

Inbox are for the new episodes released. It allows you to choose whether to add them to queue or discard them for later or never.
If you use auto download then episodes will be picked from inbox.

I had read the article but mine seem to skip the inbox . I received a podcast yesterday and inbox is empty but it shows in episode. Auto download is off. I have turned on notifications and will track more closely

Have you perhaps changed the setting Downloads > ‘New episodes action’ to ‘Nothing’?

Apparently I did. I reset it to move to inbox. Thank you.

That is basically how I work, though I don’t auto-download. I also don’t stream. I only need 3 panels:

  • Subscriptions: feeds where I am looking for new episodes
  • Episodes: new episodes that are available from my subscriptions
  • Queue: episodes that I have chosen to download and that I will probably listen to

I have no idea how I would use the Downloads, Inbox, Home or Playback History panels.

But this is a great app!
