No automatic downloading of episodes : list full

App version: 3.6.1f

Android version: Android 11 LineageOS

Device model: OnePlus 3T

Expected behaviour: Automatic downloading of episodes is configured, with a 25 episodes limit. Actually down to 9 episodes in the downloaded folder.

So the new episodes (podcasts updates work without problems) should be downloaded automatically up to the 25 episodes limit.

Current behaviour: No download is performed, AntennaPod tells the download limit is reached

First occurred: Months ago. I did delete/reinstall AntennaPod without anything changing.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Configure automatic download with some limit
  2. Ensure downloaded episode limit not reached
  3. Wait for podcast updating (once a day here)

Environment:
Nothing fancy (I think) : update once a day, limit 25 episodes downloaded, new episode go into inbox.

Crash info: Nothing crashed

I must add everything worked properly « some time ago » (at least 6-8 months ago).

Is your phone getting low on storage? The older Android version suggests an older phone with limited storage.

Do you mean the “downloads” page in AntennaPod? Or do you mean a folder with your file manager?

Nope. Still have around 70 Gb free, should be enough :grinning:

It’s what AntennaPod tells me when I open the « read list » (« liste de lecture » in french). Actually down to 4 episodes only.
BUT… there may be stg here : I have more downloaded files than are shown in the read list (favorites, saved, etc.). The total is above the defined limit in AntennaPod. I’ve just raised this limit (above the actual number of downloaded files), and will see on the next update if it triggers new episodes downloads.

The queue (liste de lecture) is not the list of downloaded episodes. There is an extra page for downloaded episodes. Maybe you selected to hide that page from the menu.

Bug there was, between keyboard and chair. I gravely misunderstood the « downloaded episodes » as « only in the queue ».
My bad, sorry for wasting your bandwidth.
