No rewind option within Android Auto - 2nd

App version: 2.5.1 (Google Play)

Android version: 12

Device model: Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

Expected behaviour: to be able to rewind while using Android Auto

Current behaviour: there is no rewind/forward buttons while in Android Auto, only the pause and skip.

First occurred: today (I have a new phone)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Connect device to Mazda CX-5 via USB
  2. Launch Android Auto from vehicle infotainment
  3. Start AntennaPod app from within Android Auto
  4. Play podcast from queue

This seems more like a feature request than a bug report, right?

Any help implementing new features is welcome. Maybe start with illustrating the desired addition to the user interface?

I’ve never seen Android Auto in action. Would there be space for more buttons?

I think this is a bug. Until some days ago, I used OnePlus 5 (and AntennaPod) and there were buttons for skip/rewind (very similar to what it looks on Android phone while playing from queue).
The same report was written some months ago, but it was closed and I can’t report it there. So I (almost) copied it.

Work had started to implement a workaround for the AA bug, but this wasn’t finalised yet.
