Pause button does not work?

Android version: one (Please mention if you are using a custom rom!)

Device model: mi a3

Expected behaviour: pause playback

Current behaviour: hit pause, pauses for a sec, then resumes playing. Happens from pause button on phone and pause control in car via Bluetooth.

First occurred: (e.g. about x days/weeks ago) 2 weeks?

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Connect car bluetoth
  2. Hit play
  3. Hit paus3
  4. Nada.

Environment: (Settings you have changed (e.g. Auto Download). “Unusual” devices you use (e.g. Bluetooth headphones). Did you select another media player?)

Does this happen if connected to any other Bluetooth audio device. Suspecting the car radio’s auto-play system is not playing nicely or is actually faulty.

(have similar with some of our work vans - one in particular where I think the door open / close sensor is SNAFU’d)

What happens if you try Pause / Play with another audio app?
