I use to listen to downloaded episodes while on my way to work and back. But for a few months the episodes for a specific podcasts are having the wrong lengths. 7-10 hours, instead of the 1 1/2 hours is has mostly. I already wrote the Podcaster as well as the contributor. Both said, the manually written episode length is correct. And it may happen due to the advertisement within the episodes?
Not sure if the error is in the App itself, since it also happens in PodcastAddict.

That’s exactly what I’ve observed. When the podcast indicates the episode is a certain length, and advertising is added to the episode when you download it, “what you see is not necessarily what you get.” It’s most obvious when the inbox shows an episode is a certain length, but when you download the episode the length increases. The confusion can be worse when streaming because the episode length changes while it’s playing.
I just tried streaming and the episode starts as 1:42h length and switches back and forward between that number and 1:01h. Although the advertisements within an episode take up about 2-3 minutes only. It’s weird and hopefully fixable. Does it make sense to open a GitHub ticket about it?
