Expected behaviour: Auto refresh of local folder podcasts or option to refresh from Android Auto.
Current behaviour: I have configured a couple of local folders were I am downloading episodes from youtube (ussing yt-dlp from a script) periodically. I open AntennaPod in Android Auto (not in the phone) and even though in the folder there are new files with epispdes of the podcast, they wont show in Antenapod. Only after I unlock the phone, open the app, go to the podcats and swipe down, the folder is rescanned and new episodes are shown.
First occurred: 1 week.
Steps to reproduce:
Save a .opus or .mp3 file in a local folder
Open Antenapod in AA
Go to the podcats
New episode won’t be displayed unless a refresh is manually done in the app
Environment: Last version of the app in Android Auto in car display.
I autorespond myself that after some more days of ussage, it seems it refreshes automatically somewhen and new episodes happen to appear in the list of the subscribed podcasts, also those that are from a local folder.
It is not inmediate, that is what I was expecting in the first place.
I’m not sure what policy it follows, when the folders are rescanned but yesterday and today I found new episodes there without opening the app and refreshing and they were available in Android Auto display aswell.
Thanks, sorry I didn’t see that option in the first run.
As I’m downloading podcasts from a YouTube channel with a shell script in termux executed from tasker I finally found even better to send an intent from tasker after the donwload is finished to refresh the subscriptions from there.
