Resuming where you left off listening

Some users expressed frustration about this but I haven’t seen a definitive answer as to whether listening can be paused or stopped and then listening can be resumed where the session left off. If pausing or stopping can be resumed at the pausing point (rather than back to the beginning of the podcast), how do you do it in AP? Step by step, please.

Play position is saved and so if you pause and listen later you would start from where you stopped.
It would start from beginning only if you reset your position.
