Saving downloaded files as mp3 or equivalent

Hi

I’d like to ‘save as’ some downloaded files as MP3s (etc) to a directory of my choice.

If I’ve missed this function, then apologies.

Regards

Rob

You can use the “share” function to share the media file as mp3 (downloaded episodes only).

Thanks! Works fine it goes without saying!
A direct save to a remembered folder would save a few taps, and would be a great ‘feature’, but the list of requests seems to be long, so I will leave the idea here.
Congratulations to all the contributors - a lovely, useful app!

Could user Tasker to do this automatically

I’ve had a look at tasker, and while I’m sure it would do the job, the overall complexity actually argues for something built into antennapod… For example, that allows you to checkbox the files you want to save, and saves them to your downloads (or other) directory.

Share them to a new dir or use a file browser to move them.

Thx sid32.

Sharing works but is a fiddle, as noted above.

AFAIK, the option of moving using a file browser doesn’t exist because the files are held in a database, not openly available in a directory.

They are in a normal directory but (starting with Android 11) that directory is not readable by other apps

Good to know the explanation! Thx.

Install Mixplorer from XDA and you grant that app full access. Im on a pixel with Android 11 and I can see, copy, paste the mp3s in Android Dir.
