audio skips a lot
skips part of the podcast, and if I rewind it skips the same part. happens with both of my podcasts. at least once or twice an episode
This is usually the result of either streaming, or automatic ad insertion. If you’re streaming your episodes, I’d recommend downloading instead and see if that helps. There’s nothing you can do relative to automatic ad insertion other than talking with the podcast producer about it (or getting an ad-free subscription).
Downloading instead of streaming really is the way to go here. It seems like dynamic ad insertion messes with the internal timekeeping of the stream, making the player think the file is a different length than it actually is. Once the whole file is saved locally, those glitches usually disappear!
