Spotify podcast rss feed

Deal All,
Is there a way to find the RSS url to include in AntennaPod podcasts from the Spotify podcasts I follow? I want to clarify that I am not talking about Spotify podcasts of which I am the author, but only about podcasts that I follow. I prefer a lot AntennaPod to Spotify and I would like to transfer Spotify Podcasts I follow to AntennaPod

Thanks
Paolo

As far as I know, Spotify doesn’t use RSS feeds at all.

If the podcasts you are looking for are not Spotify exclusives, you will find them simply by searching using AntennaPod’s built-in search.

If they are not exclusives, but you still can’t find them, you could contact the producers and show them this page to help them make their podcast available to more users.

In general, adding podcasts by RSS address is an advanced feature, so you will most probably only need it in very specific use cases (e.g. when adding non-public or non-indexed feeds).

Hi,
Thanks for replying.
The problem is that I have a podcast on Spotify which I find on AntennaPod whith the built-in search, but I can’t add to AntennaPod for an HTTP error. So I thought to add the podcast with RSS Feed.

In that case it might be helpful to share the URL of the podcast here and a screenshot of the error @polin79

I don’t know how to find the podcast url, but in attachment the screenshot of the podcast AntennaPod built-in search of the podcast with problems

Other attachments. I’m a new user and I can only upload one attachment per post

Hey there! Welcome to the AntennaPod forum.

Here’s the RSS feed for BlaBlaBike https://www.tuttobiciweb.it/podcast-rss.xml

I checked it and it’s working.

Hi thank you very much. I tried to add the podcast to AntennaPod via RSS feed, but I have the same HTTP error 503

I just tried opening the feed that @kittenwithclaws shared - that took about 20 seconds, which is really long. That 503 message you see in AntennaPod indicates a server error:

503 Service Unavailable - HTTP | MDN
Common causes are a server that is down for maintenance or that is overloaded.

You might want to send a message to the publishers.

I don’t understand why the podcast in spotify or apple podcast works, but I’d like to listen to in AntennaPod I prefer a lot

Based on observations by @keunes this appears to be an issue with the podcast’s server rather than AntennaPod. I.E.: Spotify and Apple Podcasts may be more tolerant of a server behaving badly, but it’s still something to discuss with the publishers.

Ok thank you very much for your support.

That might be because these companies cache the data; they serve you a copy, while we don’t have that. You can read more about this difference here: Central and distributed podcast apps – AntennaPod

I found this topic when searching for a solution to add a podcast from Spotify to AntennaPod.
The author gives me this link:
https://open.spotify.com/show/6GmjOJmXDWR9B55iiP0Hny?si=ec3149c75eef4501

If I open the link in the browser, it opens a site with a podcast. If I add this in AntennaPod, I get an error: “The podcast host’s server sent a website not a podcast.” I understand this, but how can I get a proper URL link that will be useful in AntennaPod?

I tried also with only a one episode, but I got the same error.

Spotify doesn’t just publish those links because they prefer everyone to use their Spotify app to listen to podcasts. But, on the positive side; at least it seems they allow podcasters to create an RSS feed (which is what you need for AntennaPod). So you can reach out to the podcaster and ask them for the RSS feed. You can send the podcaster this link, with instructions for what they need to do: Your RSS feed - Spotify

Thank you. I understand your answer and fully agree with you about Spotify.

That was just what I found and read yesterday. After sending the same link I got the podcaster’s answer that he didn’t know how to do that.

I hope I can explain to him how to do it. Without his help, it simply doesn’t work.

They probably didn’t read the text on the page then; it’s explained quite clearly how to do it ^^

Yes. It looks clear and simple. I will see.

Just for info - he found RSS link and it works.
So for everyone who wants subscribe to podcast on Spotify, just get a RSS link from the podcaster.
