Touching downloaded podcast episodes deletes them

App version: 3.11.0

Android version: 16

Device model: Samsung Galaxy A54 5G SM-A546B/DS

Expected behaviour: when touched, the podcast episode opens, allowing it to be played

Current behaviour: when touched, a small red rectangle briefly appears before the podcast episode is immediately and irretrievably deleted

First occurred: yesterday, Jan 12th

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Download podcast episodes
  2. Go to Downloads
  3. As a right-handed user, attempt to tap the podcast episode with right thumb
  4. scream

Environment: not changed any settings recently enough to recall what is not default behaviour

I feel like this is an “intuitive” control gone wrong rather than a bug, but I could be wrong.

Update: I checked settings and the swipe action was set to delete in both directions. I do not feel as if I was “swiping” and feel the gesture may be dialled too sensitive but I have turned this “feature” off for now.

I have never seen something like this. Could you make a screen recording that shows the rectangle?

I will try and recreate. When I have podcast episodes downloaded that I don’t mind deleting.
