Volume changes with continuous playback after episode finishes

App version: 2.5.1 Google Play

Android version: 12

Device model: Pixel 5

Expected behaviour: When I listen to a podcast and the episode ends, the next episode should play back at the same volume

Current behaviour: When I listen to a podcast and the episode ends, the next episode plays at a very high volume. It is NOT caused by the phone volume itself, but the volume “sync” between the phone and the bluetooth radio. This does NOT happen if I listen to other playback apps (like spotify) and it also does not happen if manually skip the current episode. Only happens if the current episode is played to the end.

First occurred: Since I own a Philips R7705 bluetooth radio

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Listen to podcasts over bluetooth with a Philips R7705
  2. Wait until the epise finishes and the next one starts
  3. Listen to VERY LOUD podcast

Environment: Only seems to happen with Philips R7705, no issues with other bluetooth devices. But with the Philips R7705 it only happens with AntennaPod, so it does not seem to be entirely the bluetooth radios fault
