Why does auto advance only not work when I'm using Google Maps?

App version: 2.7.1 from Google Play
Android version: 13
Device model: Samsung Galaxy S21+ 5G

Expected behaviour: Automatic advancing to next podcast in queue working at all times

Current behaviour: When driving and Google Maps is in foreground and Antennapod is playing a podcast, ceases playing completely when that podcast is complete. Works fine and advances ok in other circumstances.
Use bluetooth in both situations, with headphones when not in the car, and with a bluetooth adaptor for the car’s aux input when driving

First occurred: I think has always occurred - at least in last year or so, constant nuisance

I’m experiencing this same problem. Posting to keep the question alive and hopefully get a response from someone who knows.
