Wondery Plus Authentication Guide

In case anyone else is confused about how to authenticate with Wondery Plus (like I was), these are the steps. Other authenticated RSS feeds can be set up in similar ways:

  1. Go to the podcast’s page on the website version of Wondery, then click ‘More Options’.

  2. This will give you a list of supported apps, and I clicked Other Android App. This pulled it into AntennaPod automatically in my case. If this doesn’t work, there is a ‘Copy RSS link’ option as well that you can use to manually add it to AntennaPod.

  3. I then had to go into the settings wheel for the newly imported podcast and enter my Wondery account credentials into the Authentication section.

  4. I then unsubscribed from the free version of the podcast I was listening to and subscribed to the newly added Wondery Plus version.

I was then able to listen to the podcast ad-free and with exclusive episodes.

I’m sure this information is also found elsewhere, but I was having trouble finding anything clear as a new user to both Wondery and AntennaPod. For a while I thought that it just wasn’t supported. Hope someone else finds this helpful.

And to add to that: if you’d want to keep a single podcast subscription, you can also:

  1. Make a back-up of your AntennaPod database (Settings > Import/Export > Database export)
  2. Copy the RSS link
  3. Open the existing feed/subscription
  4. Tap on the :information_source: icon
  5. Tap on the three dots
  6. Choose Edit feed URL
  7. Paste your new URL and save
  8. Add your account credentials as described in step 3 of @Alcamore’s instructions
