Add possibility to have new files in local folder automatically added to queue

App version: 3.4.1 (Google Play)

Problem you may be having, or feature you want:
I have some local folders added as feeds in AntennaPod. These folders are synchronized with my computer (like with Syncthing).

The two main usecases for me are:

  • Putting single episodes of non-subscribed poscasts / talks / etc. into a folder when I stumble upon them, so I can hear them on the go.
  • Maintaining a backlog of episodes of a podcast that were aired before I subscribed, that I want to catch up with over time. (Usually I have the next “old” episode downloaded automatically when the previous one is deleted.)

The new files show up after refreshing all podcasts, but they are not added to the queue like the ones that AntennaPod gets as “real” feeds.

I saw this question, but it seems to be mainly about bulk adding the initial content of a folder (which works fine now).

I am interested in having new files added to a local folder added to the queue automatically.

Suggested solution:
Make local folders behave as specified in the “New episodes action”.

This already works for me. Did you select “add to queue” under “New episode action” for the subscribed to folder?

I just tested it again and now it worked.

I don’t know why it did not work when I double checked before posting this feature request.

Sorry for the confusion.
