Episode cuts off during Streaming, but not Downloading

Device model: Samsung Galaxy S23

Expected behaviour: Episode stream does not stop and skip forward immediately. There are no cut parts of the episode.

Current behaviour: At 19:39 in Lore Legends episode 32 (RSS feed: Lore), the audio immediately cuts and skips to another point in the episode. In this case, the speaker was talking and got cut off mid sentence, then the episode played music. I was streaming the episode.

I found it odd and went on the Lore podcast site and played the episode there. There wasn’t any cut and the audio played fine.

I decided to download the episode hoping the problem would fix itself. Downloading did solve this problem; there was no cut. However this is a cumbersome solution since I don’t want to download every episode I listen to.

First occurred: Today

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Stream episode as normal, audio cuts
  2. Check original site for audio and correct RSS feed
  3. Download episode, problem fixed
  4. Delete download and stream
  5. Problem comes back

Environment: Untoggled Auto Downloads (for a long while). I don’t think this has any effect on this issue.
