Podcasts skipping back and over content during stream

more recently it will just refuse to play at some point. It will sometimes not be able to finish a podcast when its close to the end, but maybe this is just coincidence. In case its helpful, I play my podcasts at 1.2x speed

I have observed these symptoms as well, though I don’t know if it’s related to the “Podcasts skipping back and over content during stream” issue.

What happens once in a while: The moment I click the 1.25 preset or Skip Silence button (and especially when I click both) the audio goes to an electronic buzzing noise. I can’t tell if that’s a distortion of the actual audio or just replaces the actual audio. Stopping playback stops the noise but starting playback resumes the noise. I get it working again by start/stopping playback from the Queue menu.

My setup: Pixel 9 Pro, episodes are usually downloaded, playback at 1.25x speed with Skip Silence enabled. I never use Android Auto, and in fact have never observed this in the car since I never change the speed settings while in the car.
